Yeah, I had Chris' video camera at the time. Got it all in frame, but I think his cam is an old school tape jobby & might not go on the disputer too well. She was ok, just a sore neck. Her Trademark cackle was heard about 10 sec's after she got out. Took a bit to get the buggy righted, but Chris put the battery back in drove it out no prob's.

just arrived home after a long haul back to sydney..truck dramas in tamworth so truck and buggy sleeping there till fixed.

had a pretty eventful weekend that finished well after a painful start.. major breakages on our first drive saturday saw us out of breakdown time and out for the day. all fixed for sunday after the loan of spares and tools.. thanks heaps to sam keck and chris from roctoy for parts and the tjm guys for the welder.. much appreciated.

way outta contantion we drove for fun and experience sunday and ended up doin real well driving some clean penalty free lines. more seat time is paying huge dividends for jeremy and myself. the buggy is doin well and is very capable.. having heaps of fun and meeting heaps of great people..

congrats to the winners and thanks to organisers and spectators for a great comp and weekend away.. see you all in 5 weeks time at colo

actually the cage was quite good, held up really well considering the harshness of the roll. the rest of the rig was pretty beat up tho. even ripped one of the tyres apart where the beedlock held it.

this incident was complete BS and you guys were hard done by. the on-course marshall was umming and arring about letting JK go get fuel. they wouldn't make a decision without consulting sam. other teams were allowed to leave the course to fix their cars while still under the clock. i don't know anywhere that says the spotter can't step outside the bunting. but POS told JK he couldn't. you guys were waiting and waiting for somebody to get fuel when nobody did. by the time sam said you could go, it was pretty much too late. also, the rockhammer crew in their grandstand heckling ute weren't too helpful when JK asked for a screwdriver either. this whole incident reflected pretty poorly on the esprit de corps of the competitors. my mexican 2 cents.

jamie and jk should have been able to call a time out while getting a ruling on being able to get fuel....at least then no time would have been wasted

similar junk was going on at bathurst too. it's a bit of a shame.
i watched someone talk their way out of an undisputable DNF, they were about a car length from the finish line when time was called.
i thought it was hilarious at the time that they got away with it, but looking at the scores at the end of the weekend it would have changed the results quite a lot if it was judged correctly.

anyway, where's all the cool pics from this comp? these threads usually get flooded with really good pics, but so far there is FA??

I will tell you whats BS, its BS that comes out after an event about people that have done something that they actually havn't done.

Anyway, i said to JK "just be careful about leaving the course, as i am not sure if you can". Hell i was merely saying this as a "just in case". I am sure all you pussy's would have blamed me if i was standing there and didn't say anything and they were in fact penilised for it. If JK wanted to he could have told me to "shut up and pull my head in as the rules allow for me to leave the course". However he didn't, is this because of what i said or because he wasn't to sure on the rule.

Also I told them where they could get FUEL from. I was holding Lochie my son at the time and i wasn't going to run down the creek to get it, I told them where it was.

And whos fuel was it anyway, thats right MINE, so before people make up little piss weak stories and cry about meaningless BS, how about we all grow up and act like professional drivers and teams should.

Stick to the facts and don't go by hear say. Same goes for Wendles obeservation at Bathurst, again you have no idea what we discussed with the judges and get this, it was absolutly NOTHING to do with the time. It was only to do with the last gate/cone.

I feel sorry for Jamie and JK, hell its happened to me. Its just like any other problem with the car, i had a wire fall off on A3. I didn't hear one offer of advice from fellow competitors watching on. I am sure they sat there counting down the seconds. How is this any different? Its not!

Hey guys

Thanks for all the support and kind comments....

As for the whole fuel thing, sure i was PISSED OFF when it happened but hey it's called motorsport. We just have to learn from our mistakes and move on....

As for who's fuel it was,i was very greatful for the use of the fuel....
I have leant fuel at times to other competitors,i see this as just good sportsmanship....

So all i will say is BRING ON ROUND 3......
