Interior Lights / Console.

Post by DBW »

Hi all,

I have an overhead console that I want to adapt a neat interior light to. I would prefer one with the twin (driver and passenger) toggle type lights with individual switches.

I just rang ford to see what the one out of my BA Falcon was worth ($73) that's an ideal unit but a bit pricey.

Any ideas what other models will suit? It's going into a GU wagon with the light grey trim.

Thanks in advance.

see if you can find a Falcon one at the wreckers. I know that same light unit is also in the AU Falcons

The hella Calais ones are on ebay all the time for about $25. I got one from my local wrecker and a similar one from a mazda 626 for $2.50 each.

Early/Mid 90's zook vitaras had 'gimble' style lights... someone with this model may be able to post a pick to give u an idea... otherwise our VX Berlina has book/map lights in the front. and is incorporated into the cabin light module.
Cheers,
Dan.

My local ARB stockist got me an Outback Interior overhead map light. They're a replacement item for outback interior roof consoles, and only cost me $25....they're super bright, and dont have the dicky switches like most aftermarket ones...they also mount easily.
