G'Day i own a 92 Feroza just bought a new clutch kit, wondering how hard it is to do it myself or pay a mechanic,I have done cars before but never attempted a 4x4,is the weight of the box going to be an issue?Any help would be appreciated
IIRC the Feroza gearbox/ transfer case assembly is supposed to weigh around 60kg? Plenty of people on here have done them themselves- me, I'm chickening out and paying a mechanic!
i didn't need it as when's the gearbox's out, i stick my head in that tunnel and had a look thru the centre, line it up and tighten the bolts for the pressure plate, got it in after 2nd attempt.
haha.. same here. i use my eye sight plus i feel with my fingers to make sure the clutch plate 'feels' like it's the same distance from the edge of the flyweel/pressure plate all the way around.
