i have got a 85 hilux, i wanna know what type winch is the best, what pound i need if a boghole appears and shit hits the fan.
she's about 1.7 tonne (i reckon)
Wanted.... 4.88 or 4.56 front GQ diff center. Also wanted... GQ rear diff complete.

9000 or 9500 pound warn will doo the trick
current truck, 105 series GXL diesel 6" springs & twin pro lockers

You dont need a mega strong winch for a hilux, you just need to know how do rig it properly.

But if your thinking comps you wont go past a highmount for its speed.

I was in Tyrepower today and noticed that they had an IRONMAN branded 9500lb one fot $785, didn't know they even made them.
