Need Help
Our 94 zook is backfiring and cutting out, the revs drop and she stalls. Then if we rev the guts out of her she normally goes back to running alright. Sometimes it happens everyday then other times it will only happen whenever. We have had her serviced in April.

I had similiar problem once. I had just got this Sierra and it was backfiring and carrying on. It just had no go whats so ever. After about six weeks I really got the shits and thought I'd give the vehicle a good going over before pulling apart the carby and/or electrical related stuff. It ended up up being a kink in the fuel hose to the fuel filter, so it was starving for fuel. I've not seen anybody else have the problem but it's out there for you to check on.

Check your fuel filter(s). Could be water in 'em.

Sounds like a Carby issue. When you sort it, run a second fuel filter between the fuel pump and the carby too, as the idle jet in a zook carby is really small, and easy to clock. The fuel pumps diaphram havea habit of losing small sections, and blocking the idle jet. And the more fuel filtration the better. I had issues with this, a new fuel pump and a 2nd fuel filter, and has been sweet for ages.
