Body lift

Post by eddy 76 »

sorry to go over it again guys but I am doing a body lift on my nk lwb this weekend and for the blocks will be using aluminium bar. Have done a couple on hiluxes already and used 50mm dia bar but from what Ihave read in the tech section most paj owners seem to be using 65mm bar is this right. would also like to know what others have done where recovery hook comes through rear bar.

My body lift was done with 65mm diameter blocks, and I wouldn't use less.

The rear bar was cut either side of the recovery point, and it's difficult to spot the gap.

I'd post a pic if they worked...

thanks scott is yours engineered and does your insurance company know about it as i would like to get it all approved. I spoke to an engineer about it and he reckons there was no need to have it approved.

Mine was approved in Qld, but I haven't transferred registration yet.

Yes, I told my insurance company - no problems.
