Pursuit all ready to go - tracks and details here

Post by Hobzee »

Yep, after a weekend of winching and snatching we can say the Piranha Pursuit is ready to go.

If we don't get rain this week then the best guys might not winch with maybe 1 exception. But if we have rain and it is wet on the weekend then I'm tipping you should take a spare rope and winch motor.

We have taken all the stupid stuff out. We only need 1 person hurt to spoil the weekend so you are going down Abbotts not up it. And there is a wet weather detour here as well. The only other track we took out was the original part of Deep Ck 1. I had intensions to fire that baby back up but thought better of it. Tracks included are all Deep Creeks in all the hard directions, CS1, N15 (for those who think it's hard - it was piss easy), CS1 wasn't though - bloody Simex's kept crabbing sideways into the ruts and Mr Winch got me up. Rudi drove it on Mongrels - bastard! Also doing Fultons, lost spur, spud spur, Burgoynes and Morning Star.
Hah, had to snatch old Mr Mongrels up Lost spur - 1 all!

Both Sat and Sun are about 150klm each. Remember it is 1hr drive in and then another 1 hr out so take spare fuel.

It's not too late to enter. We have enough room for about 5 teams. Refer www.navrun.com.au

Excellent prizes - in no particular order a Brawn winch, Piranha prizes a plenty, a Dynamica rope, HID lighting from On 4 2 U, a 1 grand exhaust system from Fastfit S'ville, $500 CASH from Ontrack, gear from PGS, gear from Gippsland 4x4, Panel damage work The Smart Guys, and I'm scared I might have left some one out. ..

4WDTV and Aust 4WD Monthly will be there to capture your moments of indescretion.

There are special stages (timed). Most are 2 cars (the team) at a time. Fancy that - full blat bumper to bumper. One stage is a first in Vic - down hill full noise..

Spectators are welcome - no charge unless you want a map or food. I suggest you call Rudi on 0397896985 if you want to spectate but be catered for. If we run out of food then spectators who didn't pre book miss out.

Base camp is at The Springs on McEvoys Tk 40 mins NE of Walhalla or 1hr Nth of Traralgon. Some people are getting there on Friday night - others will get there on Saturday am. Starting sequence is the sequence you register. 5 min intervals. Briefing at 11.30 am and first team leaves at 12.00 noon.

The time limit for each day is 15 hours, Sunday's course starts no sooner than 6.00am and there is a minimum 5 hr break bewteen Sat and Sun courses.

Any questions???
