cheers midnight, it may come to that.

hire joints are a joke. $150+ per day, and that only includes 150km's travel, so if i hire it for 4 days, i got 600km's.....thats about a quarter of what i need. extra kays are charged at 25c each, so say an extra 1400km's on top of the allowed, and that is an extra $350.......grand total $950 not including any fuel :bad-words:

Antt you could do what the Spidertrax guys did at Moab. They needed to tow from New Jersey to Moab and back. Sort of Perth to Sydney and back. As you can imagine it was going to cost a bundle but they found one company that charged X amount for the first say 500 miles and then just a set fine for anything over that distance. So they returned it with alot of miles on it and just paid the fine. Alot cheaper than actually paying thhe proper hire rate for distance travelled

Or just go out to your local truck stop and find out who's going back down to Sydney empty. That's what I did. $150 for the car, $89 return air for me, and a taxi out to pick it up.

Coming for sure!
:?: Is it possible to come on friday 9th to set up tent etc?
:?: $20 per car/truck for the weekend still?
:?: Also a question from my wife, is there a toilet on site? She's not keen on the shovel idea.
