I did the search , but no detailed tech on how to shim a GQ LSD.
I would like to increase the preload on my LSD but it is not obvious to me where to insert shims , the only way i can see how to do it is to use different thickness friction plates 2.0 mm or 2.1 mm are available from nissan .

How to Shim up a GQ LSD ?
How to Shim up a GQ LSD ?
TB SLUG. Dints, Cracks, Scratches, Rust, Mud, Broken Bits and Rattles.
There was an article in 4WD Monthly a cuppla issues back on how to do it. They used a Pajero diff. which is the same as a Troll diff anyhow. From reading it is prolly a good idea to give centre to a local diff person and get them to do it properly....altho it is not beyond the abilities of a good bush mechanic.
