4 runner mods

hi all new member, im luxys little bro :roll:
just asking for some cheap and cheerful mods to a 85 4runner. it already has a 2" lift but want to know how to improve the engine thats in it (3Y carbie), any help would be most helpful thanx :D

Don`t worry about the motor,just concentrate on gears and lockers

all depends how much you wanna spend,air lockers front and rear and dualies or gear set 4.7 or 5.1

it already has 4.88 gears as stock!!!! but no power to get up. will a locker help or will i need to rebuild it or get a 4y-c motor.(2.2) as i have the 3y (2.0). Pretty tired it has done nearly 300,000km. anyhone got a 4yc going cheap????

Not much differance in HP between the 3Y 4Y motors,Weld the rear and get a gear set,It makes a hugh differance a 1.3 zook will crawl 44`s with good gearing
If more power is what you want your going to have to do a conversion
