well i cant see why squik just had a brain explosion.

it was only me and A1 thats said it sucked.
and as I said above, I can understand the reason why!

but anyways, I got the beast fixed up today, exhaust back on, xfer is shifting again and I have done a bit of booty fab to the rear track bar to stop it bending!

should be good, the rain is going to suck as I have no roof, but it will make for interesting conditions.

hoping I don't break a cv!

First of all A1MAV - what is your problem with this PERSONALLY? Is it simply a fact that you don't like certain people and are using this topic as a bitching board?

We ANNUALLY LEASE this area covering the tracks, we OWN the event (including shed etc) that runs on this land.
If you want to know the landowners cut of the event - pop over the fence and ASK HIM YOURSELF.
While you are at it - ask them to show you a map of what we pay for.

What people are failing to realise is that if someone simply CONTACTED us and said 'hey we need to test our vehicle, or can some buddies and I play on your tracks for a weekend' WE OFTEN SAY IT'S OK......but nobody bothers to ask us.
Refer previous comments on TLCC and Nissan Club - common courtesy.

There is also all sorts of EPA, conservation (rare plants) and sacred ground issues around that area - that need to be observed.....but nobody bothers to check. Does everyone want greenies kicking up a stink as well?

The way I see it mate, you just have a bug up your arse and don't like Tuff Truck. Well fine - don't enter or attend the event - it's that simple.

WEROCK is another issue completely. None of our business, it is sorted with the landowners. I believe TT areas were used last year without hassles....what does that tell you?

When you organise and run a large event and see the associated costs, THEN you will have a valid argument. You obviously have a chip on your shoulder for other reasons - of which I truly don't care about.
But if having a dig at me inflates your ego - go ahead - I'm only too willing to assist the needy :D

As a courtesy, the TT staff decided to stay away this weekend and just let everyone get on with it.
I was going to go up and cover the event - but won't be now due to obvious reasons.

Hope everyone has/had a great weekend.

Yeah I have a big problem with people that ...whinge and bitch when people ask simple questions of what the rented area of TT covers its taken this slanging match for you finally to state what I was asking .....and still whinge and bitch about the costs of such events even though no-one made youse buy the business or run this event ....

We ANNUALLY LEASE this area covering the tracks, we OWN the event (including shed etc) that runs on this land.

Well if you dont want people driving on YOUR CUSTOM built tracks then fence them in under lock and key and have signage stating private tracks ....so unexpecting 4wdrivers undertand .......annually lease so first it was rented ......You have still failed to answer the question I pointed out regarding the comment made persoanlly to me about the negotiations taking place now about leasing the land what gains are you trying acheive with this

If you want to know the landowners cut of the event - pop over the fence and ASK HIM YOURSELF.

I dont need to know the landowners cut thats his business ... :? While you are at it - ask them to show you a map of what we pay for.

What people are failing to realise is that if someone simply CONTACTED us and said 'hey we need to test our vehicle, or can some buddies and I play on your tracks for a weekend' WE OFTEN SAY IT'S OK......but nobody bothers to ask us.

Well maybe people are unaware of this why not have posted this can take place .......but honestly do you think a few zooks are goin to destroy the tracks

Refer previous comments on TLCC and Nissan Club - common courtesy. MMmm common courtesy that wrks both ways why dont youse show some common courtesy and put entry fees to a more reasonable rate and family orientated

There is also all sorts of EPA, conservation (rare plants) and sacred ground issues around that area - that need to be observed.....but nobody bothers to check. Does everyone want greenies kicking up a stink as well?

Who needs to worry about greenys when the average people has to deal with committees such as this

The way I see it mate, you just have a bug up your arse and don't like Tuff Truck. Well fine - don't enter or attend the event - it's that simple.

I never said I dont like Tuff truck but its assoicated costs are gettin outta hand I feel of which I was giving youse the committee some feed back of what could be changed to get even more people through the gates and make it more prosperous for the business

WEROCK is another issue completely. None of our business, it is sorted with the landowners. I believe TT areas were used last year without hassles....what does that tell you? Well what will this lease agreement in negotiation acheive .... is this why you are trying to acheive this was there issues of track degeneration that has upset the TT committee

When you organise and run a large event and see the associated costs, THEN you will have a valid argument. You obviously have a chip on your shoulder for other reasons - of which I truly don't care about.
But if having a dig at me inflates your ego - go ahead - I'm only too willing to assist the needy :D I have no chip and time will tell on the large event front ...gee then I can back my argument ..Im not personalising this one bit I have no ego compared to some that use this site

As a courtesy, the TT staff decided to stay away this weekend and just let everyone get on with it.

so this did contribute to good in one way then And you must have only just changed plans as you did post saying that you couldnt make it as you were goin to be there wrking but may call over to see some action breifly :?:

I was going to go up and cover the event - but won't be now due to obvious reasons.

Is this suppose to upset someone or anyone of that matter , I couldnt give a rats arse if a magazine was goin to cover the weekend ....people just want to wheel without having to tippy toe over areas incase people get the shites where were driving on

Hope everyone has/had a great weekend.

Thankyou for the timely reply to all questions :D

Dan - you are welcome :D

Maybe some good will come out of all of this as the info is now out in the open.
As far as me going up to shoot the event, it has nothing to do with my work and my choice not to go is based on what's happened here and not going up as a TT representative out of respect for Chopzuki.

Madzuki - get under the house :finger:

The rest of the property is available for use (it's bigger than you think it is), this is the point we are trying to make, and some of it is awesome so don't get put off by the fact that a small section is leased by someone else.
The property owners are very pro-motorsport.

HVORRA (hope that's right) also have lease on the property and there are areas that *we* aren't allowed to use - basically where the sponsorship area was, and they 'own' all the gravel/road tracks, the catering area we used and some areas we used for camping (back of the mud event etc - but we negotiated permission to use it.
We have to abide by their wishes as well, and sometimes they say no.

There are other motorsport events held on the property as well, not just Tuff Truck, and a couple of them have made use of our area and the HVORRA sections, so it's not completely out of the question to use any of the areas, it just needs to be discussed.
