stereo prob's

Post by hill billy »

howdy folks,
heres the prob, i just got a new head unit,4 channel amp, sub, and 6x9's.
i cant get both the sub and 6x9's workin off the amp,

my deck has 4 rca points on the back of it, so i have 4 rca goin to the amp.

its starting to shit me because i have rewired it several times and is becoming a pain in the arse, might just have to settle and stick to running the 6x9's off the deck?

if the rca is in the amp to deck, and the amp has + to b+ and trigger and a good earth, try another pair of rca's if that doesent work maybe a crook amp.

Have you got each 6x9 speaker using 1 channel, and the sub running off the other 2 channels (bridged)??

Just make sure your filters and gains are set correctly, it may be working but you're not hearing it.

It HAS to work, you dont need to run your 6x9s off the head unit.

are the 4 RCA's on the back of your head unit all outputs.. or is one an input?

Has been done before ;) i know in my headunit (pioneer) u can turn the RCA outputs off, see if this is the case for yours.
Cheers,
Dan.

check to make sure the channels you are using for the sub can be bridged. some amps can only bridge channels 3 and 4 but will not work if you try and bridge channels 1 and 2. Just a thought.
