Help i am a virgin to 4wd.
Hi all
I have recently bought a nissan navara 1995 4x4 ute. I have just put some 31/10.5 15 wheels on it, drives a lot better. I would like to lift her with 2inch lift blocks, but not sure if it is possable and how many blocks i would need.
Next question is. I have been looking for a bumper replacement bull bar, with no joy. So any help or advice would be great. Thanks.

First of all im pretty sure navaras have their rear ends sprung under, i could be wrong, but if they are sprung over then lifting blocks would work, sprung under they are just going to lower your car.
For the front you will need to wind up the torsion springs which has its pro's and cons, do a search and you will find all the info you need for that.
And, what do you mean excactly by a bumper replacement bullbar?

Think Navs are sprung over, blocks will work but will also cause worse axle wrap, so may be solving one problem will create another one. Also NEVER stack lift blocks in the suspension. If you are talking about body lift blocks, then you need to check how many body mounting points you have, and you need that many. You may also need new bolts or make allowance for captive bolts etc.Gribble wrote:First of all im pretty sure navaras have their rear ends sprung under, i could be wrong, but if they are sprung over then lifting blocks would work, sprung under they are just going to lower your car.

don't f%*# him around guys,
I'm pretty sure ARB would make a bar for a navara.
As for the lift you can crank up the torshion bars in the front a bit, in the rear you can get/make longer shackles, get your leafs reset or buy reset springs
I just looked up the bars in my ARB book.
The rrp prices are:
Bull bars-
part no. 3238120 $1302 or 3238130 $1248
Winch bars-
part no. 3438120 $1464 or 3438130 $1409
ARB is well known/one of the best so it wont be hard to get hold of one

I think he means body lift blocks whcih he can definately do - from the factory a Navara is basically already a Pathfinder ute with a bodylift kit. Any decent 4wd shop should be able to help out. For legality you will need to speak to an automotive engineer in your state.
You can do some additional suspension lift on it if you want too - running 33"s is perfectly feasible. Anything beyond that is asking for things to break in the front end.
ARB, TJM etc all make bullbars for the Navara - steel, alloy etc. You can also buy them from Nissan or most wreckers.
There's probably more tech on Navaras on US sites (from my pitiful memory called Hardbody over there) since most hardcore 4 wheelers here use Patrols which are not available in the US.
Good luck and happy wheeling.
