V6 4 runner fuel consuption Q?
If you can not get there in a 4wd its not worth looking at
I use to get 13-14l/100km on a trip and about 18l/100km around town from memory (before i did a 1uz conversion), the later model ones would be the better one to get as they are newer, have bigger brakes and a few other different things i can't think of right now. The SR5 have alot of gadgets if thats what you want (power windows, mirrors, different stereo, etc....). There isn't much difference in fuel economy between the manual and autos (from my research i may be wrong).
As for the gas conversion I have been told that they handle it by one bloke and not to waste my money doing it by another, so your guess is as good as mine. I was quoted $2100 for the gas coversion and then i would still have to buy a spare wheel carrier (Kaymar was $1500 i think) for the rear as the gas tank goes in the spares spot.
Hope this helps you
