The video's were cool its not often you see what you look like and see how your suspensions working. The only thing is that you cant see the steepness of the terrain it only the extension of the front suspension that gives a bit of an idea of what it was like.

Yeah i wish we could have finnished the event.
Found out later that we had pierced the oil line from the sump to the turbo which in return drained all the oil out of the sump and then pop. Right at the bottom of deep creek5

POS just wouldn`t climb like it normaly does 
. 6psi less and it was hepps better and still handled the fast stuff well.

Thanks for the praise fellas - that's what makes us do it in the end. Although a bit of money made on a weekend is nice at the time it gets wittled down quickly with a wicked insurance premium, busted asse trucks, catering, 5-6 visits and the fuel (yes I seem to use 100+ litres each time too) and so forth. The missus woke up to the facts .. and would prefer I spend the time at home with the fam. But it's a response like this that get us back ... 2 weeks later for a Nav Night.
We had 2 more special stages planned but as it was wet and snowing tracks were challenging enough and slowed you up. Also I had 1 grp of marshalls down (they broke too) and I was dependant upon being given a lift every where. Bummer about the 60 being down - I had lowsy radio and CDMA coverage.
In the thankyou speach I forgot to thank Alan Mathews who made a few preparation trips, many nights at home screening maps and gathered the fire wood which kept us all warm at camp. Also thanks to Pete (Rudi's Dad) who was my fill in Pyro and burnt all of Alan's wood.
Tonight I braved the elements (For those not in Vic or Tas - It's winter here and we are close to the South Pole - conditions are nothing short of Arctic) Alan helped me with a replacement starter in the 60 - 20 minutes later and she was purring like a pussy cat. Now, all I need is to educate Alan to come good with parts at 11.30 pm on a Friday night.
Oh Yeh, Thanks to my wife for lending me her Honda. Might have been confined to camp but sure made the trip home a lot of fun...
Been talking to a few guys who couldn't make it (they are booking for Nav Nite). We are being encouraged to bring Pursuit forward to about a month before Outback Challenge as a shake down practice session.
Here's something outside the square. What about making a normal weekend a long weekend? Say time it for a Builders/Tradesman's RDO monday. Tracks are a lot quieter on a normal weekend and Club guys and family dudes tend to have commitments on long weekends.

Hobzee/Rudi I think brining it forward before OBC is a brilliant idea, gives teams a good opportunity to do some testing before it, is there any chance of bringing the event a little bit further north to maybe entice a few Sydney/Northern based teams to come down, I know of at least two who would seriously consider it from Sydney? And I think your idea about a normal weekend would be good especially traffic wise, for me personally anything after the first week of the month would be best, in my business usually the first week of the month is a nightmare to get away unfortunately.
Looks like I'll be seeing you at Cliffhanger this year too as a navi again, can't wait!

Hobzee/Rudi and co, I'll second beretta's motion! Bring it forward, although the snow was a nice touch.
Everytime i do one of your events i see the standard lift another touch. Remembering back to the first navrun i did (your second), The standard of professionalism has gone through the roof. Something everyone admires about you guys is that you listen to competitors and try your best to make things work as good as they can, not just tell us it's your way or no way. You guys have brought the sport to the state at every level and noone would begrudge you if you did make a dollar from the event, in fact i'd be disapointed if you didn't.
The praise you guys get is for good reason and when there is some negative feedback that also shows that the copetitors are happy to express complaints to you cos they'll be back for more and want it fixed.
Keep up the good work. I'm sorry to say i think the 60 will be resting until november, when i'll hopefully be crowd pleasing at the cliff hanger
.
In the mean time if i'm free on your event weekends i might come play radar boy ... I got scores to settle!

As always what a well run event. Was more like the alpine pursuit, criky was it cold. I managed to get some great video of the creek run at Fulton’s so hopefully it will be included in the DVD. Having not done much night driving before it was an eye opener and challenging, and I was not even competing. Team ontrack continue to provide some of the best driving and spectator friendly action around. There effort on SS3 was phenomenal. Pity all the teams did not have a chance to have a go. I am glad that I left when I did as with no lockers my 80 only just got out, there was no way I was getting out and winching to dam cold.
Special thanks to Ruffy for taking me on the 1st SS on Sunday, what an awesome ride. About a third of the way back up we realised that out time was quite competitive, but no matter how hard we coaxed, the old girl just could not find the herbs to get up fast enough. Still we did not come last!!!!! Prize goes to Dallas for the most impressive and longest slide at the end of Sunday morning SS, thought you were going to fly over KJ's truck
Coming back down from Mt Selma following troy in the Nissan on Sunday night we hit a patch of ice which gave us all the scare/thrill of our lives what a ride
The food provided by Terry and crew was of excellent standard as usual, if nothing else come for the food. I had two out of my three kids with me this time and my daughter’s first event, I do not think I will be able to stop her from coming to all the events now she had a ball.
Again congrats to all who competed, it was a wild weekend.
