GQ carby sticking full throttle
does it happen with car off and cable disconnected. if it is check linkages and check if throttle butterfly is actually staying open, possible binding at full throttle or catching on a wire or water hose, maybe a stud or nut not screwed all way in when refitting the carby thats catching on the throttle linkage..
the butterfly on the secondaries can catch on the stupid spacer/airflow thingy underneath it (you can see it if you turn the engine off when its caught open and shine a torch down the secondary, mine is currently doing this, just have to get around to taking the carby off, its a bitch to get to 1 of the 4 bolts), simple solution is to pull out the spacer/air flow thingy, it doesn't really do anything noticable to air flow i have been told.

What about the vacuum bits, have you replaced all vacuum hoses and checked out the vacuum actuator for the secondries? Are all the vacuum hoses on the correct places, as silly as that might sound?
