They are a very nig rig DVS... They just dont have gearing and lockers available like most common 4x4s.
With a bit of lift and bigger tyres they go most places you point them. :D

They dont have many problems at all...

The turbo models go pretty well with lots of grunt.

And for a grand  Im in Newy.. I mite buy it!! :D

If they only had a bit more aftermarket support they would be a very very capable and sought after 4x4.

If its 85, then it should be all leaf sprung. Aftermarket leaves are available to give it lift. Then bigger tyres. Up to 30's or 31's isnt a real drama. If, and its an absolutely huge IF, you can source a second hand locker, then that transforms them, 2 is even better. Some go for a Hilux axle transplant, which opens up the air locker route.
If you buy it, be prepared for a bit of fabbing. But for $1000, if its ok, I would buy it, but I suppose I am a bit biased.

not 100% sure but I think you'd have 3.54 diffs under the diesel.
Swap over to some petrol diff centres,@ 4.6 or thereabouts, will get you some low down gearing

3.36 I'm pretty sure... If the diff centres are interchangable that'd be ok
