Would like to know if a v6 vn commodore sump is interchangeable with a v6 chev and if the chevy has the deep part of the sump at the back.

Yeah pics would be great. Commodore front sump goes around the timing chain cover at bottom, so i assume its open?
Both v6's were made by Biuck, or commodore was a copy of one.
Where would you find a sump for a v6 chev?

A Chev V6 is not a Buick nor is a Buick V6 a Chev
The Chev 229/262 V6 is a cut down version of a 305/350 Chev V8 and made by Chevrolet
The Buick is a version of the Buick V8
Both companys are owned by the General Motors Corperation but they are there own entity
The Chev V6 sump is rear mounted
The Commodore sump is front mounted
The Buick sump is mid mounted
The Buick has 2 different bolt paterns on the sump 14 and 21 bolts
