help with Suspension troubles

went out wheeling today. when i was flexing in the spring pack i think the second lief up they have like a shakle thing that goes above all the other liefs, my springs are hitting it and it wont let it flex any further it is acualy bending from the load. does any one know wat it is? can i get rid of it?
i can get picks i just cant post them one hear if i can email them to some one to post it might help understand it a little better.
any help much appreciated. thanx.

If it is a 2 stage spring you can remove the bolt so it does not activate the second stage.
