Got this made for me by Custom 4x4 Fabrications in Hervey Bay 0400 443 802..... excellent job!! and i'm stoked with the bar!! The winch cradle and skid plate are made from "hardox" which is apparently much tougher than bisalloy80 and it wieghs less than an ARB winch bar. Shameless plug i know, but Brooksy is a top bloke and he does good work.

didn't have to wait too long...... Brooksy made a jig for it as he designed it. So new ones would be quicker. That was made for a 2" body lift as well. As for cost, you would have to call him. I suspect it would be a competitive price.

maybe he got a special price for witing as the jig needed to be made, so him telling you his price is useless as youd complain if it was actually more,
Now thats a good looking gq bar, a few of the victorian guys who are making winch bars could learn a few lessons from this congratulate your mate brooksy for a top effort. Oh and by the way just for a laugh thanks to beretta for coming up with the nickname for cheezy's new bar. It has officially be named Virgil (the thunderbird).

Glad it stuck in someone elses head like it did in mine!
Hey RoeDao, I like it, I like it a lot, but can you post up some pics of the bash plate area just interested to what sort of protection it gives you underneath.
Cheers, beretts.

got a reply back from Brooksy........
if the customer doesn't want to have the grill cut ( comp trucks cut into the grill ) I would have to bring the bar forward which isn't too much a drama.
But the price will be the same for hi & low mount winches.
The customer will have to do his own grill mods unless they bring the 4wd to me which would be an extra cost.

All my bars come with 2x10,000 lb recovery hooks and Hawse Fairlead mouth as well as powder coated in what ever colour that is available included in the price. The bars allow for 2 x 240 lightforce.
Infills either side of the centre hardox plate can either be solid 3mm plate, which is structurally stronger or mesh similar to what is used in the FAT bars.
Thanks fellas for the positive response, it reassures me that I am on the right track.
Price is actually $1,100
