The locker will fit. It's only the crown wheel that you may have trouble with. I can't remember which way but one model has a schamfered edge and the other doesn't. If the outside edge of the teeth on the crown wheel are angled then it will be no problem to transfer the whole center over. If it isn't then you'll just have to fit the locker into the new centre. ;)

If you have the GQ locker then the GU axles will touch the pins in the centre. i shortened the GU axles when I did it but there is a better way. You can get a replacement part from ARB for the GU locker and fit it in the GQ one and then it all bolts together. If you have a GU locker then no probs to start with. sorry don't know model and part numbers.

mate put his GQ center into his GU diff, but had to shave the axles 3 mill so it would fit. Did get a kit from ARB but didnt know what to do with it and how to fit it. Not even a diff expert. Found out after wards the parts convert it into a GU center.

Cheers Julian

If you take out your GQ CV's and you can see through the diff housing then you have one of the newer lockers. The older ones have two short pins and one long pin. The longer pin stops the axle on the GU from sliping all the way through. If you're still not sure take the centers to a good ARB joint and they will change them into GU centers for about $80 each center plus time.

As people have mentioned, there are many ways to get around it and I take it you are using GU axles and Cv's.

Just machine 5mm of each axle so they do not make contact with the thrust block in the centre and all is fine. This is all I did with mine and it hasn't broken (even a cv) in a just under 2yrs of comp work.
Cheers
