Just knocking some ideas around for a new tray. This is pretty close to what I want, except I will probably change it so it doesnt come back under so far. I'll extend the chassis instead.

Note: I have to add in the supports for the main hoop, so don't get your "not enough triangles" panties all wadded up OK :finger:

Been tweaking it a bit, I think this is getting pretty close.

Blue is the diff housing, white is the shocks. I actually moved the diff back 200mm for this design, which fixes a lot of problems i have been having. That will put the wheelbase at about 102", and i'm guessing that will stretch out a bit more once I figure out the front end.

The hoop that runs around the bottom of the first design looks good, why not run that in the second design but butt weld it into the legs as opposed to running it on the outside.

Would give you somewhere to mount lights without getting them smashed.

Also is that two sections of tube i see on the top of the b-pillar support?

Yep, i'm going to add that in for that exact reason. I may use a smaller section tube though.

Made a few changes. Chopped a couple of things that didnt need to be there. Even added a diff centre for Moose :)

I extended the lower bar all the way around. I could even use this to screw on some plastic panels for a pre-runner kinda look.

You can see the bar along the back. The larger material is 1.75", the smaller is 1"

Should balance up fine just be a bit lumpy. But he wouldn't get far on slicks.

I notice you're running an open centre why not a locker. Oh it's an air locker that'd be why.

I have been working on this a bit more lately. There was a couple of things I didn't like about the existing design so I decided to start from scratch, that's one thing about doing it in software first! I've kept it pretty simple so far, but i'm liking it.

Looks alot like Inventer.

Why do you have so much cross bracing under the tray?

RHS may be a better option for these tubes as it would offer a flat surface you could screw/bolt/sika to sheets to.

Give the tray more rigidity as well as give something to mount the ally sheet to. I was hoping to use thinner sheet so would need smaller spans.

Yep, I think that's what i'd use. BT only does round tube at the moment, though I believe development versions handle SHS.

Dunno, I would have to punch the numbers in, but don't have the weight specs for the tube. I'll chase em up next week and see what I can come up with.
