Rear wheel bearing kit & exhaust systems
What brand of bearings for the rear do you guys recommend for the rear of 92 w/t and part no. and also preference of extractor brand and size and configurations of exhaust systems.Have read alot about 4 into2 into1 etc for lowdown etc etc.
I need a new system as the muffler is on it way out so I thought I might get a bit more go from a new system.Any info would help me decide.

i use CBC bearings, but they are all the same really. Just go down to your local parts guy and get whatever he has.
As for the zaust, 4 - 2 - 1's are the Go IMO, and you won't need any larger than a 2" system for the athsmatic 1.3 carby motor. If you do go bigger, all you will do is reduce back pressure and increase noise. Neither of which will increase performance.

As mentioned, the noise will come down to the muffler.
My Skyline has a 3" system with an oval muffler and is pretty damn quiet.
My Sierra has a 2" system with a muffler than barely even resembles a muffler and is pretty loud.
The Skyline, with a much larger system and over triple the power, makes a lot less noise

my mate ran his hj75 turbo with just a dump pipe and that sounded wicked for a diesel anyway
i'm up for a system for the vit as the exhaust manifold is cracked and the cat rattles
so far i'm looking at lukey extractors and old 2.25in AU falcon CAT and a 2.25in turbo muffler i have sitting at home, hopefully it won't be too loud

Critta, 2.5", cat, triple flow muffler was stupidly loud.
Greg's 660 with a turbo, big cat and resonator only is stupid loud and its only a 660(!)
2.25" pipe is much lighter wall than 2.5 so will transmit more sound. I think that a resonator will be required but with a triple flow muffler and a reonator it will sound fine.
2.25" is plenty for a 1.6. A 2.25 system will flow an easy 200hp.

The 2.25" is as big as I would go with this motor if chasing performance and probably 2" for the 8v. The lwb had a 2" with 2.25" cat and muffler. In the end I added a small resonator to remove a small drone that occurred around 3000rpm. The 2.25" pipe would have given it a bit more but I was looking at the noise issue as well when I chose 2". I think you would agree that it was fairly quiet. A lot will depend on the muffler used as they are certainly not all created equal.
