would a v6 in a bundera be ok for towing a small/medium size caravan or camper trailer?

What motor are you wanting to run?? Some more info is helpful.
How heavy is the trailer?

If it has better specs than the original one, i cannot see why not. And you don't do an engine conversion to downgrade. :roll:

sorry mate.

well it will be either a camper trailer (which i pretty sure will have no problems) or a 16ft -ish pop top or something similar.

as for the engine, it will be a v6 out of a commodore, the newer the better (just from a maintenance and longevity point of view).

will the short wheel base and being a fairly light vehicle be ok at highway speeds?

As long as you get the suspension set up correctly and the caravan packed correctly, it should be fine mate.

Have you got upgraded suspension? You could look at some polyairs (The bundy coiled isnt it?) which would keep the bum nice and level when loaded up.

Get the later motor just coz its got more ponies :armsup: lol

the suspension will be done. but, just for towing a camper trailer i wont bother. as for the engine, i know alot of people have used vn/vp motors. but they are getting on a bit, so if there was something more suitable that is newer i would run with that for sure!

Ive done a bit of running around with a loaded trailer (not a camper trailer or van) and didnt even notice it there. If anything made it a better ride as its wasnt as harsh in 1st-2nd-3rd gears.

Mate - my father used to tow that stuff with a 1600cc 4 cylinder. :shock:

No, I wouldn't recommend anybody else try it - but a Commodore V6 would be OK.
