Mat.
Have you seen the new Mickey Thompson MTZ, i am keen on a set of the 305/70s as a daily driver. i think they look F#@ken Hot!!!
look like a Radial Claw on the side with a more traditional mud pattern through the middle and also not directional.
Cheers Grant.

2015 200 Series Gx TTD - ................ Fark 3L's -
I am just about to come off my MTRs with over 100000ks on them (they are absolutly shaged) and are downsizing to 265s for towing reasons and are going for the new MTZs All reports seem to be great on them and there about same price as MTRs and BFGmuds. And i wont have to have my tires balanced on the car all the time like the MTRs.

Couldn't agree more ... take everything that a tire saleman tells you with a grain of salt (or two! ) Supposedly this fellow was a driver for an off road rally team and had used both MTR's and BFG's ... and was giving an experienced opinion - but if not not is saying that he got 100,000km out of his, then real world proof is better than hear-say ...
Just passing on whatever (mis)information I was given.
From my experience so far I don't mind the BFG/MTR's ... they seem to be pretty good ... apart from the odd compression lockup from changing down gears too fast! Have seen the "bad wear" you speak of on a few sets of BF's (AT's & MTR's alike) ... hoping they might have improved slightly on this batch.

If it's worth doing - it's worth doing to excess ...
thanks for all the information..
i was actually tossing up between the goodyear mtr's
and the mickey T mtz's in the first place but i have not heard that much about them, because correct me if i am wrong but not soo long ago they only came out in large sizes and if you could get a good size they were two wide..
but now that they are in a 285/75/16 which i was after i would be interested in them..

*sits n waits 4 flaming*
I could just be really special but I was more then happy with my BFG muddies. They were on 3 different 4wds, used almost every weekend 4wding and I did just under 100000kms on them, not to mention the fact that several of my mates have had 100000kms out of their bfg muddies as well. Yes they did handle rather poorly in the wet, but then they arent on a race car and most muddies do handle poorly in the wet roads (I did say most). I havent had a set of wranglers so I cant comment on them but as for the bfgs I thought they were great. My bfg a/t's at the moment are quite good as well........none of the sets have worn poorly
But I could just be really special though
Aside from that, I really would like a set of those mtz's
35000ks on the 33 bfgs and goin great. they balance up with a bit of weight but thats ussual. About half worn and loosin a bit of grip, but not like ive heard on the site. Any way had a good run out of them and would prob buy them again
wish list (lockers,lift,endless air,winch,bar,spotties,35s,paint job,turbo,18yrs old hottie
