Im about to chuck my tyres on my external beadlocked rims.. and im wondering if u are supposed to run tubes or not?? or will they seal ok ???

You will be lucky if they seal. It can happen... but its not likely.
I understand that because the tube will try and sneak into the gap between the rim and the inside surface of the tyre you will pinch tubes. If you run really low, you will pinch the tubes anyway.
I have been very tempted to tube my beadlocks because the leaks get me down. (sorry for the bad pun
) but I think having to try and pull pinched tubes out wouldl be worse.

I have made 4 sets for myself and i have never had any of them leak.
If your beadlocks are leaking then you should look into whats causing them to leak.
All commerically available steel beadlock kits.
They are not leaking through the weld, it is mostly due to the tyre not sealing against the rim because of the rough internal of the tyre.
I am aware that it is possible to build them and pretty much eliminate leaks, the last set I built for a club member were PGS 4x4 supplied kits and don't really leak at all, but of the sets in the club here in melb, the vast majority of them leak a bit.
