sorry but i don't think that is going to work...

The spring will have to do all the twisting to allow one side of the axel to droop - this means that it will bind up and restrict travel right?

infact - if the spring isn't able to twist as much as they want it to - the only travel that car will get at the back will be if the whole axel drops down the same amount on each side...

moral to the story - you can't expect the spring to twist very much and have to have some twist in your shackles to get full travel out of your leaf sprung suspension setup.

One of the reasons I thought it was interesting he calls it a stabilising shackle.

The shackle at the rear is no more limiting than the front spring hanger. Maybe the bushes will allow for twist? I know mine do!

The owner obviously found the longer shackle to be a problem re stability. It can't be any worse than a stock length shackle which would allow for little displacement.

I was looking at some SAS stuff in the nissan section and come across his link.

The shackle set up just interested me thought I would see what others thought without being able to just sit at the pub and jaw off about it.
