So the actual spoke bit is hitting the brakes? Interesting...

I'm thinking that you need a different set of wheels - or a set of wheel spacers - that definately looks like the go.

I know that you are a big fan of keeping it legal, and as wheel spacers are illegal - i'm guessing that you should be taking back / selling your new rims, and putting your old ones back on until you find a set that is going to do the job.

sounds like a bit of bummer Luis - but i can't see any other way around it.

cheers

proper wheel spacers are available from snakeracing.com.au, bigballsoffroad.com, chaos4x4.com.au...

can you grind away a little at either wheel or caliper?

Thanks... will look (at home) at the sites you suggested... as for grinding the caliper or wheel... the mere thought scares me! :) This is my daily driver you see... ;)

I would need to gain around 10mm or maybe 8mm... haven't measured it properly yet... but grinding doesn't sound like something I'd do at this stage...

Cheers mate,

You remembered!!!! :)

Yeah, big fan of keeping it legal and normally trying to stay out of trouble... call me old fashioned ;)

Thanks for your post Greg, on this particular case, I wouldn't mind getting 1cm spacers or less if I could get away with it... the only ones I've seen at this stage are the ones at http://snakeracing.com.au/suzukiindex.html# ... and they're $145 each (outch). Think I'd be happy with the one-size-fits-all spacers like I have on the Terios... if I can find them... oh ya, if in the meantime you find anyone that needs some 15x5.5 rims (now in a golden yellow) let me know :) ... oh ya... they've been balanced and one had to be tubed because of a puncture... (should've checked fitting before balancing them... oh yeah, and before painting them too...)

But my first thing now is to check the price of these wheel spacers... and whether they will fit properly/provide enough clearance...

Ya... it'd be easier if I didn't really care about legalities... life would be so much simpler... hey, more fun even ;)

Cheers Greg... if you know ayone that makes/has access to/wants to sell spacers, let me know please.

Autobarn used to sell spacers for old Falcon and Holden Disc brake conversions which were something like 8m thick and about $40 a pair..... These should fit - go and have a look.

I seriously looked at putting these on mine too - but I went the wide offset rims instead.
