tyres
just buy a valve core remover, quicker than stauns
last time i went out with stacey (sasjeep) we ended up using sticks anyways cos the stauns were no where near the same to each other, and i know theyre meant to be calibrated but what a pain in the a#*, i just remove the valve but the gauage on after about 12 seconds and its good to roll, adjust where needed

Re: tyres
Stauns are never accurate because they get some sort of oxidisation in them, give them a clean and adjust them and they'll be within 1/2 a PSIklrevo wrote:just buy a valve core remover, quicker than staunslast time i went out with stacey (sasjeep) we ended up using sticks anyways cos the stauns were no where near the same to each other, and i know theyre meant to be calibrated but what a pain in the a#*, i just remove the valve but the gauage on after about 12 seconds and its good to roll, adjust where needed

Wanted: Car trailer or beaver tail truck, let me know what you got
Thats the way I go. best thing I ever got apart from the valve removerSteve F wrote:I use Curries EZ Deflator, it removes the core and has a slide to let air out/stop it. It retains the core and lets you check the pressure easily and put the core back in easily. Quicker than stauns and cheaper as well as not having to set it or adjust it etc.
Bought it from Wooders.
Cheers

interesting to hear that it could be a breach of patent. they arent anything special. just an ajustable pressure valve that you can screw onto tyres. kinda like pressure safty valkves on air compressors etc the actual mechanism is pretty old hat the only new bit is the tyre valve thread.
