replacing td42 injector pump gasket?

Howdy guys, im about to replace the top gasket on my injector pump, just asking if there is anything i need to know before i do so, ie, if anything will jump out at me when i pull the top off?, :?: any help would be appreciated, cheers

Your best idea is to get a diesel pump and injection shop to do it for you. If you dont have much idea on the subject then best leave it to the pros. As they are very expensive items if failure occurs. Cheers jamie

but if you are going to attempt this remeber if you get even the smallest bit of dirt or grit in there your going to cause yourself all sorts of dramas too

Iv done it this morning, easy to do, took about an hour then had to bleed the whole system and NO LEAKS, made sure it was clean as before i started so hopefully no dirt in there, all is good, be a good excuse to drop in a injected 308 if it shits itself :lol:

did you put the shaft o rings in as well when ya had the top off
if not they will be as shagged as your top plate seal and leak soon

Yeh mate, they came with the top gasket, had to replace the copper washers on the fuel line in also
