What switches do u use for duel fuel?

Post by Mulisha »

Hi guys i have a 88 mav and it has duel fuel and i was woundering has anyone set up there car so that the switches are in the factory holes?

What i mean is i have a primer switch and a swicth to transferr from petrol to gas and they just zip tyed to the the bottom of my thing that tells me how much gas i got left.

I was woundering in the middle console on my XLT Mav i have like 4 spare switch holes there to fit some and thought maybe you guys got hold of someone that sells switchs to fit these cars as all the swicths i look at are to small or to big and won't fit

Could you maybe post how you have yours set up in or something like that.

Cheers guy in advance

I have LPG gauges with a LPG/ Petrol rocker switch built in that fits into the Nissan plastic blanks. It will do away with your 2 cable tied units and look much neater. They do not have a primer though, with that I have a small automotive type push buttons which can be fitted into 12mm hole in another blank panel.

I have 1 with gauge and switch that fits in a standard switch spot, i payed $65 for it a year and a half ago.

In terms of where you should put it, i would suggest you move the light that i'm guessing is for your alarm elsewhere, possibly into the blank next to the heater controls, and put the gas switch/gauge up front next to the rear wiper switch where you can easily see it, instead of somewhere that it can be knocked easily and is not easily seen whilst driving.
