Sure looks like a GLS to me. Not a GLX as advertised! Cheap either way.

Flares and trim etc on outside look like GLS, and dash looks like GLS to me too. But it's got manual window winders, and the spare on the rear is the standard white steel rim - it doesn't match the road wheels. Also, I thought the factory lower panels had a little more detail, so I guess that bit's aftermarket.

The rims also look a little deep in the dish, and at a guess I'd say the tyres are protruding from the flares. I reckon they're LandCruiser rims, which will put the Paj over track for registration purposes, so I think their RWC dude may be a little lax. Good luck getting through the vehicle identity check for registration in SA!

But, if the price is right, who cares?

:D

I think it is a glx, although I thought the glx didn't come with two tone paint. However, the flares on a gls are larger than whats on that vehicle.

That's the clue, looking at the rear flares. Maybe it has been sprayed the silver to look like GLS.

Very early NH GLS models had manual window winders.
I know a guy with a NH swb GLX with a factory difflock, adjustable shocks and manual windows.
It doesn't have ABS which was only usually part of the tri-pack option which consisted of difflock, adjustable shocks and ABS.
There was a luxury pack option which consisted if power windows, electric sunroof and A/C (mine has this) but you could still get A/C separately.
You could really mix and match back then until everything was standardised on later models.
There was a guy in the Paj Club who had a NK 2.8TDI GLS with factory difflock, suspension seats, adjustable shocks and ABS along with the electric sunroof. It was a special order from Japan as he told his Mitsu dealer that either it came with those options or he would buy a Landcruiser !!!!
I just luv my "clacker Jabber"

No mouldings on the bottoms of the doors where they are silver, my guess is it's been sprayed to look like a GLS.

Good points there. Now that I actually think (I shouldn't post while I'm sober  ) I was told mine has the "Luxury Pack" - which was power windows, power mirrors and something else - sunroof?

So everything other than the GLX badge could be GLS, except the flares and "moldings" which don't quite look right.

I'd say the spare wheel is the give-away. GLS should have had 15x7" alloys - why would you bother with the mix-n-match combination of wheels?

Anybody want to call for the compliance plate details?

Cheers,

Scott

I got the power mirrors, I don't really mind about the lack of power windows, however I would love a sunroof!
