front crankshaft oil seal leaking
this seal is leaking and when i got under and looked i have figured out that one of the bolts at the bottom is loose and stripped out cuasing it to have a gap and leak.what can i do to fix it (cant put a nut on the end of the bolt because it doesnt go through far enough)
From what I can gather from your post is that oil is coming out in between the timing belt cover and the engine ??????
That shouldnt happen. I think you will find the oil is coming from the crank shaft seal itself.
Take the top few bolts off the timing belt cover, pull it back and see where the oil is coming from (if you can)
I just had mine replaced for the 3rd time in 2 years.
I think its done properly this time.
