Disco With 50mm Lift...Will Airbags Still deploy?

Post by amshaw »

I was talking to a fellow Disco owner today re 50mm lift and he said something that really surprised me and havent heard it before :?

He was told that if you lift a Disco by 50mm or more the airbags wont deploy  :?

Anybody heard this before ?? :? Hope thats not the case :bad-words:

Might have something to do with the hight & where the sencer's are on/near the chassie I guess??

Any Idea's bloke's ??

He would be referring to a body lift, not a suspension lift.

If you look at the LRA sight, their new project vehicle is a Disco S2 and they say there are some problems and illegalities in raising (bodylift) airbag equipped vehicles.

They've apparently found some loophole in the law and from an engineering perspective, are working to overcome the airbag deployment issues.

Cheers
