How do People dispose of used oil?
I'm doing a service on the Patrol this weekend and was wondering what the hell you are supposed to do with 11 litres of filthy oil? Also what to even store it in. What do others do/use?

Even your local garage should take it for you as it costs them nothing to dispose of it.
I often have people bring me there five litre containers with old oil in them that i just tip into my oil drain. If the garage refuses you know where not to go for help with your car next time!!
As far as an indecent proposal goes, I'd accept nothing less than $100,000 to tolerate buggery. Any less and it's just not worth the psychological trauma.
Yes ours is picked up for free too. The company we use is on the list up2nogood posted. We call them when our storage drums are near full and they are out in about 2 working days to pump it out into their truck. We have another company that picks up old batteries too. They used to pay us $1 per battery back in the day, now its just a free service.
I've been told to pour a strip along the grass at the bottom of your fenceline. Stops the weeds growing up your fence where the mower blades miss. saves wipper-snipping. never tried it tho
I've also heard of ppl painting their fence with oil and allowing it to soak into timber. It preserves the timber before you paint it.
We would soak crane outrigger pads and timbers in oil and/or deisel before using them for the same reason

Another way is if you have just chopped a tree down or you have a fire wood stockpile. I service my shorty at mum and dads place where I have been putting the old oil onto a tree stump and pouring it over the crates that their firewood sits on, but not on the firewood itself. The termites hate the oil and the tree stump hasnt grown back
Dunno if your serious, but I am, Goes well on gravel drive to, keeps dust down and sticks it together, bit ugly butdromana7411 wrote:mix it with some diesel, petrol, and shake... use it to get the fire going...
And what GQbear said to.
Wanted: Car trailer or beaver tail truck, let me know what you got
If I am feeling enviromentaly concious I will take it down top the bro-inlaws workshop where have a 100 skip for old oil
If I'm not drip it along the edge of the fences, walls and paths to kill the grass so I don't have to whipper snipper

Grimbo, have you tried putting your postcode in here?

Sounds like you have it sorted but could be useful info for someone else.
