Paint code

Post by Shane »

I've got a red October 94 built Widetrack Maruti Ute (MG410W) and need to know what the original colour code is. Its not on any of the identification plates on the firewall and I cant seem to find it anywhere else on the body. Any help would be much appreciated.

Cheers

someone needs aclue but as to who, well…

Best bet would be to try a paint shop, most would have manufacturers codes. Only problem with most of the Suzuki reds is that they tend to fade/oxide quite significantly and any patch ups etc tend to stand out a lot, generally a respray is in order if the appearance of the vehicle is of major concern

Just to clarify for those that missed it :D , it is some kind of RED.

It is going to be resprayed, would just like to keep it original and match the interior. Tried a couple paint shops already and they couldnt help me without the colour code  .

can't they just paint match to what you have, especially as you are respraying. The fact it is a Maruti (Indian build) might explain the lack of paint codes. i reckon just match as close as possible and you should be ok

but being a Maruti can cause a few problems as they can sometimes not match up with the Sierra stuff
