Series 2 width

Post by Vineboy »

Just a quickie. How wide is a plain jane series 2 Paj (not GLS with flares)? Something around a NH.

paj

i would say about 175-180cm, mines a 94 GL base model shorty, its got landcruiser offset rims and 33" tyres, and it measures 186cm outside of rear wheel to outside of rear wheel. so yeh, i dunno exactly how you want to measure the width wheel to wheel, centre of, outside of, width of guards.... :? but its too cold as it is anyways to go measure :D

According to my Owner's Manual, GL/GLX are 1695 wide, GLS/Exceed are 1785.

Cheers,

Thanks guys,
It has to be narrow enough to be able to drive through a vinyard so I need something no bigger than 1.9m.

yeh my paj is kinda wide :? for a paj, the wheels stick out a bit, and he comes in under that figure, stock one, will 5hit it in i rekon, is this allowing for you to still be able to open your doors in the vineyards??? just a thought

Out of curiosity, are your vines on 3m, or 2.5? I've spent some time in a 3m vineyard, and Patrols and L300 van work OK.

Hi Scott,
3.3 row spacings but on a two tier trellis. I just sold my zook which was ideal for this but no good for carting the kids, hence looking at swb wagons and using a trailer when I need a ute. Also looking at rodeos and tritons esp 90's models as they are narrower. Hard to find decent diesels though!

Thanks James but need swb because it's more nimble.

It was worth a try Andrew :) Keep me in mind just in case. By the way I have recently purchased a later model Paj from one of Oranges police force. Nice coincidence eh?
