what size winch

what size winch
Guys with swb pajeros what size winches are you running?
Was a 8274 (8000 pound) Hi Mount warn but I didn't really need all that weight over the front, awesome winch, pulled anything.
I now have a Warn XD9000 low mount. 9000 pound and I'm happy with it, not as fast as the 8274 under low load situations but a dam sight lighter, stops the front crashing around as much. It might only be 25 kg lighter (counting less rope) but it makes all the difference,
You'd be happy with a 9000 pound winch on the Paj thats for sure.

I've got a 9000lb Warn low mount (mines a lwb though) and it's never let me down.
I put 40 meters of nylon rope on 2 years ago and that stuff is magic compared to the steel cable.
A good dual battery set up is a must to get the most out of your winch.
I haven't had any drama's with the standard 75 A alternator but will be looking to upgrade to a 125 A bosch unit in the future.

Winch size
I have a Ramsey REP 6000, small but very light, I don't need more. When I need more power I use a set of pullies...... Mine its a SWB. I think the perfect would be a 8000 or 9000 Lb for a Swb
