axle idintification ????

hi found axle code G975 which means 8" with a limited slip and 4 pinion but i cant find any ref for the 97 i know its the code for the ratio but which?? any light anybody?

I have a LJ70. Dunno about your 97, but I can tell you your diff ratio is 4.88:1.

yeh my 2.4 td lj 70 has 4.88 with axle code G145 code, ive just get myself a 3.0 td 70 series as a doner for the engine to put into mine, but the axle codes are diferent G975 basically i was trying to find out if the 2.5 and 3.0 have any transmition differences or are they identical? the code sugests some difference???
