80 series power assisted clutch

Post by Chucky »

Did any of the 80's come out with a power assisted clutch?
And if they did, Whats invovled in retro fitting one to a base model 80.

The wife has a fair bit of trouble driving my crusier as the clutch is quite heavy and just want to make it easyier for her.

Cheers

I know the VX (Sahara) did in Oz, however 5 speed manual Sahara's finished at the late 1992 update.

Vacuum reservoir was also different (2 chambers), along with additional vac pipe accross firewall, and I'd say clutch pipe and push rod would have been different too.

Not sure what's required in retro fitting, I'd suggest finding one first as my guess is you'll struggle :-(

you may be able to fit a 60 series clutch booster. I believe the 60 series clutch master bolts to the 60 series booster.
