rear triangle and trailing arms

Bear in mind that heim/rose joints are illegal on-road in OZ AFAIK.

who will know anyway they would be for a purpose biult rig. but they do look sweet

i'm pretty sure that all there products are bolt on for coil sprung rovers.

these guys were the originals that scrapion racing copied

there quality is reputed to be very high, just make sure you buy equippe not scorpion.

apart from the unretained springs, everything looks shit hot. for a daily driver(but make sure retained) they may be easy to get engineered and could be returned to stock easily

If it is for a purpose-built (offroad) rig then you can do a lot better than use the standard chassis mount positions.

i thought i saw them somewhere else (the design) and i would definaitly keep the springs retained

IZUZUROVER i know they might be illegal on road and i could make a better setup for offroad rig and would, but was just checkin them out cause we dont have a great deal of stuff over here that is a bolt on type of product such as these and would love to distribute or have a shop one day that deals in this sort of stuff (ok im dreamin again)

They look too pretty to be any good !! Get some steam pipe that fits neatly over the whole trailing arm,take one end off and slide it on, cut to length and weld the steam pipe to each of the rounded bush ends so nothing of the original trailing arm can be seen. You will have to replace the rubber bushes as these will get a little burnt in the weld !! You now have a super strong trailing arm that I have tried to bend .... but cant !!!

Uniballs (rose joints?) seem not to last long...

May I ask why to focus on the rear axle while the front is usually more restricted?
Same old question I know...

BTW E*uipe hq is 30 mins far from me...

they where just the pics i have seen so i posted them is all. no real focus front would be what you said more restricted of course.

have you priced there stuff i guess you would have if so how much would some of there stuff cost you

I guess the answer is there is really no point. The stock setup is fine for tons of travel. You should put in stronger trailing arms though as they are known to fold up on occasion.

Yes, I have wondered about some of these mods that give extra movement. I admit they look fantastic but not sure if they are worth the money.

the problem I can see is that even with stock rear suspension components, 2.5" spring lift, 2.5" body lift and a 2 door with guards cut to the max, it is the wheel well that is limiting my movement, not the suspension.

hey ben i thought heim joints were 2? but zippy gets his disco's engineered with them on the top mount of his big boy bilsteins, instead on eyes, on the back end of his rovers? unless he knows the 'right engineer'?

Hi Sam,

Now that you mention it, I have seen some trucks that were supposedly approved, and had a heim at one end and a rubber bush at the other - so it may be possible that way. But funnily enough, zippy was the first person I heard say that rose joints were illegal - about 6 years ago. How is he doing anyway???

benny he's going well, went for a wheel with him on the weekend to the springs, near warwick. his moved out near ipswich somewhere and has his custom shop out there, doing disco ute conversions (alex from the L/R club bought one) and fab work. he's going to ute a P38 soon
