Painting Rangie Spares Flares

Post by LRHybrid100 »

G'day Guys,

On my first real outing with the Simex / Flares combo I damaged the drivers rear flare, so I have taken it off and patched the inside and flattend off the outside so looks like new again.

Question is, has anyone managed to match up a paint to the original colour - I have tried a flat black spray but is too dull, what about Satin black?

Currently stands out more than when it was damaged, and dont want to spray the remaining flares!!!

Cheers

They're done in satin black gel coat, but you could just use quick dry enamel in a can, should match up ok

I dont know about an exact match , but K@H satin bumper in the pressure pack is easy to apply doesnt show up all imperfections like gloss will and I think 1 can should last you a year . Cut an old stubbie box as a template around the outside of the front and back flares and spray away. If you cut the box incorrectly you will have to buy another two boxes.

out of my mind, back soon.

I got a can from Mitre 10 and I think it was called "trim paint". Anyway it was a Satin Black especially for the outside plastic trim on cars and it matched up very well.
Thanks,
