says it has a no load line speed of 600 feet = 182.88 meter and under load has a line speed of 30.48 meter
nearly/as fast as the pto's over in maylasia, looks very similar to the ox tjm winch which is made by mile marker and this winch is made partly by mile mark.
This is a chain driven hydrolic pump running off the motor. If you had a look under the sime tyres GQ of Billy Lyne you'd see a similar setup. I got to run for him last year at X_treme International. It worked a treat. Wasn't as fast as some of the electric winches but teamed up with an auto gearbox and it is a really quick setup. Well that's when Cracker actually runs up the winch walls Just kidding Jeff
I do love a VB stubbie.
Yes they are a twist top.......but would be pretty cool none the less.
I have one screwed to my pool table for that same type of wank factor.

my pto runs at 30m/minute in drive at 1800rpm and my cousin did the mod to his ox and got it to 11m/minute it cost him about $1200 to mod the only thing that i want is plasma rope its better then steel.

once i come in to some cash i'll be setting one up
Actually winch price seems quite good as it comes with control valves, hydro motor and hoses. Wonder how much the motor is on top of that.
Cos this system would be good for OBC and most of the vic winch challenge type stuff.
Also with these hyro valves stuff is it possible to only partially open a valve to get slower speed. Guessing this would require manul valve to be put in cab. Or are they either on or off in either direction?

You can get variable valves for hydrolics. I'm not sure if they would be a good option for a vehicle that is bouncing up a winch wall though. They can be fairly touchy sometimes.
the nice touch with these is the option to winch/drive/drive assist or a combo or any of the above, less lever pulling keeps it simple (I REALLY need simple)
and yep - pig (as with all my cars) comes with a bottle opener - always think of survival lads!

I like simple to, was just thinking out loud.
Oh and we have twist tops or cans in Oz. Its that or we are tough enough to either bite the lid off or use our eye sockets.
only thing they dont tell you is that the dog clutch cannot be engaged with a differential engine speed of greater than 150rpm, so you have to just about stall the engine to engage the dog clutch without long term damage.

i seach every wher to find a clutch, and ended up having to use an electric synch clutch to match speed first.
thats a new one on me fella, I just pull the lever and it works, push it and it stops, never seems to give a monkeys how much volume Im giving the loud pedal - have you had probs with yours then?
would love to know what brand the clutch is if you are able to find out it would be much appreciated? i tried warner / imtech . . . and no one was able to give me one like that. i also need to push around the 27-30hp range.
I emailed them 6 months ago and at the time I had the money to buy. They weren't interested in developing one for the Patrol. I even had a friend of a friend visit them. They seemed friendly enough, but was still not interested in developing a unit for the GU.
It's a modified mile marker 12000lb hyrdraulic winch.
Oh well, there's no money now. Already spent it for the OBC2006.
When i had the Hyd drive set up on my 80UTE winch it was fast 60 mtr/min ( ~200 ft/min) at full load and was great at towing the ute up the road connect to a power pole or towing an other vehicle as on the video but trying to use that speed in the bush up rock ledges ETC and it was a different thing altogether. Balancing engine / winch /wheel speed was nearly impossible and i was very dissapointed after the effort and the $$$$ to set it up. I have a 24v on 6HP Warn 12v motor on a Himount and have found it to be great and thats what ill be sticking with. How often do you need to winch on flat ground in easy circumstances ! not very often.

THERES ONLY ONE SUBSTITUTE FOR CUBES AND THATS MORE and if you want more inchs stroke it !!!!!!!!!!!
