Well first up I'd start with an adjustable FRONT pnhard rod.


Then lockers, diff ratios and some chromoly steering arms, heavy duty rear control arms, brace front diffs, get some sliders, GU steering box, internal cage, beadlock rims, upgraded winch motor, 10mm winch rope, should I list more? :D

very serious. you should have don then front beore the rear if anything. BOTH should be done at the same time. It will handled better and safer.

In all honesty and serious mate fit an adjustable front pan hard rod BEFORE doing anything else.

Think of the natural geomety of a standard patrol then think of one lifted withot the front diff being pulled back to normal alignment. Fitting this will also enable the steering damner to run at the correct setting.

If you were in Brisbane I could offer to fit my stuuf for you to show you the fix before you spend your hard earned.

When i read your list the first thing i thought was front panhard. Then i saw 3" lift. I don't reckon axle geometry would be that bad a problem with a 3" lift as long as rear adjustable is adjusted the same length as stock one or else you'll have a crabbing effect on the road.

I had a 4" lift and didn't put adjustables in for a couple of years. Tyres used to chew like mad on RH rear inner guard.

Since you've got the rear adjustable, you might as well get the front and adjust 'em both so your axles are symetrical to your body again.

1) Remove your stabilisers if you haven't already

2) Another inexpensive mod might be 30mm coil spacers on each corner to quieten that grinding noise you hear each time you get flex with those 36's on a 3"+2" lift.

30mm coils spacers wont fix that

Bumpstops are what will need adjusting if the tires are rubbing

Well you asked what more you could put on it & I gave you an answer :roll:. What were you expecting me to say? "Well that's about all you can do to a GQ" :armsup:

I wish I could afford a new garret turbo, roll cage, fox shocks, extra cab chop, etc, etc but that's where the $ start getting bigger :cry:.

assuming its a petrol? elec igntn and extractors or turbo exhaust and pump mods if diesel

having only 1 adj panhard will f&^% your diffs because the wheels arnt tracking in the same line it will essentially be crabwalking down the road

rollcage would be next on my list

everything else will start costing $$$$
Stop worryin about mods and start driving the thing, having all the goodies doesnt mean squat if you cant pick your lines properly

If you aren't intending on using it in any competitions circuits and purely want a capable 4x4. I would invest in a front auto locker (Flame Suit on) they are cheaper than a selectable locker and well worth their money IMHO. I would also consider leaving in your rear LSD and perhaps giving it a bit of a tighten up, I do have a rear locker though. However you have to be in really gnarly territory before the LSD in the rear of these things gives up.

Do you have drum brakes rear or disc ? If drum hunt around for a rear factory locker housing.. Cheap.. good..

Ditto on the Adj. Front Panhard as well. The OE panhards are much the same strength as the trailing arms ie; cheese.

There are a billllllllllllion things you could spend your hard earned dosh on. I guess prioritise (sp?). I would definately spend my $$$ on lockers though.

Also perhaps consider giving all of your cheezy racing barwork to me.
