Well haven't seen too many going around these days, so decided to make my own!
The body is going to scrap anyway, so might as well make it easier to move.
Personally I think it looks a little odd, but if you spent some time making up something to enclose the cab it could look good.
BTW, after the last cut the body dropped signifcantly at the rear, so much that it was hard to close the rear doors!
Hmm... so this is why the rear windows didn't work!
Next step is to cut the floor off behind the seats!
hey bud look at some of glen's utes, just sold his white one (style side back) now finished his tray back black one. 'brothers custom' he is on www.aulro.com is one of the sponsors and runs as 'discoute'. they can look nice when done properly. he is just west of brisbane.
he may be able to help yo with any q's?
all the best and i'm sure it'll come out looking sweeeeet
After i cut my 2dr rangie down i was suprised at how rigid it still is, i could grab hold of the rear 1/4 panel near the tail light and try to shake but no movement at all. B pillars are pretty big in a 2 dr rr though.
Saddle up tonto, its the not so loanrangie! . 98 TDI DISCO lightly modded with more to come.
Funny trip, he carried a full toolbox that took up 3/4's of the tub. Ended up having a few fuel problems with the tanks as they're not designed to be run as main tanks and dont have the vents and other stuff. So it ended up getting vapour lock on the hot days.
Faark it was hot, was in my Softrover burgandy 4 door bald 33 muds then and a mate in a burgandy series 2 disco with the wifes, prob would have noticed her before my rangie
Wanted: Car trailer or beaver tail truck, let me know what you got

I think he's cutting it to make disposing of the cab a lil easier. the only long haul its going on is to the scrap yard

Simon
And the scrap yard is right across the road!
Tim, great job. The extra bit on the B-pillar really makes it look great.
I've cut off the back behind the b-pillar so I'll get another photo when there's some sunshine about.
BTW, if anyone wants any parts from this let me know, otherwise it's all scrap.
