i've got extractors, 2 1/2" pipe and a hotdog. The pipe is pretty much straight, sounds great. it already had the exhaust when i got it tho so don't know how much power is gained.

3 inch just give it that extra bite over a 2.5 and sound awsome if you ever get a turbo. give a nice wistle.

Agree

There isnt any gain from going any bigger unless it gets a turbo.

I run a 2.5inch system with a "Walker Turbo" muffler and all the bends are mandrel bends. On the dyno this setup worked the best overall compared to a 3"system, 2"system, and a varying range of mufflers.

The 3" showed the best HP readings but torque was well down, The 2" showed a really good torque but the hand off was a much lower HP reading, the 2.5inch setup gave me the best of both worlds after we stuffed around with differing mufflers ( which made a huge differance ).

The cheaper mufflers were the worst of all except one ( 2.5inch berklie straight through type ) which came in 2nd to the walker turbo muffler.
