Guys,
I'm about to attach my snorkel to the Patrol (88 GQ wagon if it makes any difference), but will need to use some sort of bendy pipe/hose to run from the inner guard where the snorkel pokes through to the air cleaner.
I had a look around autobarn and saw some flexi hose that is used for cold air induction, but I'm worried about how well t'll hold up to excess heat in engine bay, especially when it'll be suspended above a hot exhaust manifold.
What's the best stuff to use? that's robust, seals tightly and won't dry out/melt when heat gets to it.
thanks in advance.

snorkel to intake plumbing/piping
1988 351W GQ wagon
I'm in the midst of the same problem, in an 86 4Runner trying to install a different air cleaner.
Ideas and places that I'm exploring are pool places, plumbing places and an exhaust place knocking up an s-bend and then sealing that in with little silicon/rubber joiner pieces. But I figure that might cost me something
So pool and plumbing first- the problem is that the pipe has to do a fairly sharp s bend, something that tough piping may not be able to flex around @ 2.5" ID.
Ideas from others??
