Sydney Navrun..
Yes a Sydney and a Perth Navrun are on the cards now for sure.
2 car teams does mean we can let you go out and run a muck and your buddy watches out for you. Rudi and I are often on our own with no recovery crews so we can't keep an eye on you. But if it is what it takes to get more competitors then maybe we do consider it. Will talk it over with Rudi.
Our break even point on a Vic Navrun is 10 teams (but that includes catering). Will look at reduced $ with no feed as an intro price. To go interstate we really do count on more than 10 teams because it means at least a week off work for both of us, way more fuel, etc etc. I'm gonna drop the next guy that bitches about $. (Drop him off the entry list that is..)
PB, I was talking to BB at OBC and thought was ACT. Your thoughts...
I'd love to have a state of origin - although it is already won, I'm afraid! And yes a Pursuit style event in other states would be super cool too.
Craig Maxwell wants to get a Navigation Comp together in SA (Maybe a Navrun) as well and we want to back him up and help Craig with that as well.
Have learned that long weekends are not the go. I have 20 Marshalls for this weekends Nav Nite and had only 5 marshalls at Pursuit on Q's B'Day. I think competitor numbers would reflect this too.
Thanks for the input guys and CB. Keep it up..

Hey Hobzee, sorry mate been a bit slow getting back to you, but mate I've been talking to a bunch of different people up here and all are extremely keen to see this happen. There's lots of places about an hour or two out of sydney we could potentially do this, just a matter of people throwing some suggestions into this thread. I was thinking Watagans myself? I think I heard Sunny Corner mentioned, I haven't been there but does it offer a good range of tracks so I'm told?
Some mates of mine suggested Milbrodale (where tuff truck is held).
ACT is only a short drive I guess, I personally don't know anywhere around ACT cos I haven't wheeled down there before, but happy to go on a recon mission, I would however like to see the first one up here as close to Sydney as possible to get people hooked in first off.
I'll do whatever I can to help you get this started ( talk to clubs up here whatever) as long as you aim to run a Pirahna Pursuit style event up here as well, that rocked! Pirahna Pursuit State of Origin, now that would be nuts!
Anyway we should have a chat as I'm sure you've got some ideas on where to do this, if you or Rudi are keen to come up here at any stage for recon we can use my truck for recon missions and I can round up a couple of others also, if you wanted to fly up you can crash at my place in Nth Sydney no dramas at all.
lets get this happening!

Re: Sydney Navrun..
I was thinking that a PP SOO would be FA, however ACT is OOTQ i think cos it's TFF for NSWWC to travel apperently. NR are doing a FA job and it's BF to see you SYW into SA, WA & NSW. KUTGW guys. Although if you had a SUV with ABS, HDC, ETC, VSC, AWD, AHC, VGRS, DSC, RSC, and HIV then ACT would be OK.Hobzee wrote: PB, I was talking to BB at OBC and thought was ACT. Your thoughts...

I was thinking that a Pirahna Pursuit State Of Origin would be Farking Ass, however ACT is Out Of The Question i think cos it's To Farking Far for NSW Winging Cu nts to travel apperently. NavRun are doing a Farking Ass job and it's Bloody Fantastic to see you (ok I lost it here ) SYW into SA, WA & NSW. KUTGW guys. SOO
OK PP SOO sounds SH. WOT IF we did a combo NR / PP in each state (SA VIC NSW QLD WA - bloody hell! ) and then a SOO Championship open to top 5 of each state. Kills a whole heap of birds but geeees what a lot of work!!!
(SOO = State Of Origin)
Time to hit up sponsors for serious support - this is getting PROFESSIONAL!

Rightyo, how about a Navrun in Sydney in February? Looking at Sunny Corner, anyone interested in coming on a recon run to check it out and find some good tracks and a base camp etc? Looking at going for a run out there over the next few weeks.
If people are interested in this type of event but lack the confidence with their GPS nav, then take advantage of the opportunities Celia and Eugene are offering, click on the below link to find out more:

no dates as yet.
There is quite a lareg gap in our calendar for 2007, so we cabn slot it in there.
Go to the fixture page and give me some indication what would be the best and then we can start taking names for the event.

Hey Rudi,
How about sometime in March....other than Tufftruck being on 23/25th, even tho not the same league .....March would be a good time cos it's not too cold yet in the mountains.
Lets hope you can get the numbers this time,...there certainly seems some eager people coming to the practices.....so no excuses peoples.

I will chat with Baretta at the Cliffhanger Melb. Cup Day and set a date with him for the Navrun.
More than likely it will be in the Bathurst / Lithgow region and possibly as early as March, 2007.
