Auto hubs not engaging...

Post by Tony9r »

Hi all,
Please forgive me if this question has already been asked/answered
I have just bought a 1991 UK spec Sportrak, but have found out that the 4WD isn't engaging :x
It has the auto hubs fitted, and when the 4H or 4L are selected, the front wheels are still free-wheeling. Both the drive shafts are engaged which points straight to the auto hubs being stuck.
Is there an easy way of sorting this :?:
Any help much appreciated ;)

Tony.

http://www.outerlimits4x4.com/PHP_Modul ... oza+manual - hope the link to the .zip still works

This might help you, could be a big download though. AFAIK, and IMO, auto hubs are yuk, to put it simply ;) Just like IFS or kissing your cousin :D. Could be something as simple as a switch broken.

One of the ferozian residents will prolly help better soon though. So if nothing else... pad
