How can I tell how lifted my GQ is?
I bought my SWB Maverick and it already had a suspension and body lift and 32 inch Mud terrains.
What is the easiest way to determine how much higher than stock it is?
I hear people talking about needing a certain amount of lift before fitting a certain size tyre and I want to know what size tyres Ill be able to fit.
Does a stocker have small blocks where the bodylift is or does the cab sit straight onto the chassis? What size are the factory blocks if there is any?

Any more than that is body lift.
Looking at the photo, I think 35s might be a bit of a squeeze if those are 32s on it now.

Peter we have this discussion every week. Yes 35"s will fit on a 2+2 set up. Will they rub YES. Will 31's Rub on a car with a 6,7,8" lift YES they will. Some people get away with just removing the metal mudflaps (which I did). Others have to cut the gaurds a little. I think I had the lowest car with 35's. AS it only had a 2"BL and the susp was very old OME 40mm lift. It only started hitting the guards when all the bushes started to flog out. andthe axle moved around abit.
Also there is a slight difference in the guards from SWB to LWB.

With the 32's I have never scrubbed anywhere as far as I know. Ive been up (or attempted ) every track I can find.
I have to say I dont really see a huge need to get full articulation in the tracks that I have visited. The clearance would be most handy getting through large bog holes or up hills where the ruts are so deep that I diff out and get stuck.

The car is running Tough dog shocks but the springs are black. Is it possible it still has standard springs in it or is it too high?
I just removed the bullbar, gained heaps more clearance! Only 4 flimsy little bolts were holding it on, all 4 were loose!
